MG MGB Technical - Project for this year
| Spent most of last year sorting out mechanical niggles so this year decided to de rubber bumper my roadster and convert it to chrome. Which ( if any ) of the currently available kits are the best; best value and also best fit? Which ones require the least body modifications? Grateful for any advice! Adrian. |

| Adrian, The brackets can usually be made to work. The quality of the re-manufactured brightwork falls far short of the original. You need a competent bodywork / paint specialist anyway, The best advice is to modify the bodywork to take the original bumper equipment and to re-chrome secondhand original brightwork. Before you modify your pride and joy, bear in mind that the trailer-queen brigade will still turn their noses up at your work. The Rubber Bumpers are very practical in everyday use. HTH Roger |
