MG MGB Technical - Oil Filter-Direction of flow

I have a 3-main MGB engine fitted with a spin-on oil filter adapter and a Wix 51516 oil filter. Can anyone tell me the direction of the flow of the oil through the filter. Is it from the outside in, and then up through the center tube to the engine or is it the other way around?

Yes. The anti-drainback valve will prevent the oil flowing the other way.
