MG MGB Technical - Need Measurement on Stock Front Shock???
| I am doing a project for school and my MGB is in storage for the winter. I was wondering if anybody has a stock front shock laying around that could take two quick measurements. 1) Need the length from the center of the back mounting Hole to the center of the pivot point of the arm 2) Need the length from the center of the pivot point to the center of the hole that mounts to the kingpin. Both measurements has just the distance as if looking down on the shock. (2d) Very much appreciated! Thanks |

| Matt, this was a bit tricky, as it required projecting vertically and horizontally onto a piece of cardboard using a small square. To get the centre lines, I used both sides of the holes and split it. So, looking in plan view, the arm length is 8" exactly (centre line of pivot to centre line of the fulcrum pin. The mounting holes are 1-3/8" from the pivot line, both inboard and outboard. The pivot hole looks to be 3/4" and the other holes 7/16" Art |
