MG MGB Technical - MOT in Devon UK
Can anyone please let me know of a reliable and experienced MG/Classic car friendly MOT testing station near Plymouth Devon UK? I have spent so long restoring my MGB that I am loathed to give it to a testing station which will not be familiar with the eccentricities of an older MGB. Many Thanks

It really shouldn't be a problem, the only place they may get confused is with the design end-float of the front wheel bearings. But even the young whippersnapper at my local Halfords when he gave me an advisory on my V8 that I had been taking there for a dozen years was right when he mentioned this, when I investigated I found the nut only finger tight as there were insufficient shims. Just about anything else is go or no go and not open to interpretation. If it will only pass in an 'easy' test station, then maybe there is something wrong with it.

I suppose I am just reluctant to have someone maybe criticise my hard work. However I am very confident it will pass. It had a 12 month MOT from a renowned classic garage in Cornwall when I purchased it, however it has taken me 18 months to restore it to a safe position for an MOT. God only knows how it passed the MOT back then. The floors were rotten, bushes worn everywhere, no horn, bad electrics. Anyway fingers crossed and I will be on the road in July and picking up my 12 months free road tax!!!
