MG MGB Technical - MGB torque query

Hello,

Does anyone know the torque with which the bolts that fix the gearbox housing to the engine back plate should be.

These are the 7 or 8 bolts round the gearbox casing.

Not critical, but I would guess about 25 ft/lbs.

Just as long as they're not going to come loose.

20 lbs for 5/16 bolts 30 lbs for 3/8 bolts. Try this site:
