MG MGB Technical - MGB GT roof skin

Roof replacement on MGB GT.

I would like to replace the roof skin on my MGB GT ( it has a sun roof) The car will be used for track / road rally.
Any pointer will be greatly accepted. I have a donor car with a intact roof skin.

I did this job about 15 years ago. Its not too difficult. The roof is spot welded around the perimeter. I just drilled out the spot welds on the"new" roof, but ground off the old roof(very carefully) so that there was a flat surface in the gutter. I then plug welded the new roof and seam sealed it.
