MG MGB Technical - how much does a B series engine weigh?

excluding gearbox, but including ancilliaries ?

anyone know? I cant find any info on the World Wide Wait.

Excluding auxilliaries about 350 lbs and about 50lbs for the alternator starter manifolds etc.

If it helps, when we did the conversion on Blaine's car it we lost around 50kg's in total and he already had the right gearbox in it before. It is worth noting that all the known methods of setting up the suspension for race/trackday events goes out the window as having 50kgs less over the front axle effects the weight distribution quite alot.......
