MG MGB Technical - Guide to single battery conversion

Is there a guide to converting from dual 6v batteries to a larger single 12v. I know it's quite a popular thing to do given the prices on 6v batteries.

Or advice from individuals who have done that.

Many thanks James

American made Endurant BCM650 fits without the the for a clamp - just put a piece of 3 X 2 timber about 6" long on top of it & the battery lid holds it down. Move the earth lead to the RH side. Mine in my 66 GT & others I have fitted last more than 10 years & they are totally maintenancwe free - except to keep the terminals clean.

I used the same Endurant battery as Garth does but I managed to get a battery clamp that fitted well [ but snug ] as I didn't want to use the wood system. No problems at all and helps slightly with evening out the weight distribution left and right. Also fitted a battery cut of in the heel board as anti theft .
