MG MGB Technical - GT door seal installation

When installing a vinyl door seal on a GT, where should the ends of the seal meet?

And how does one handle the 90 deg bend at the top rear of the door?

The 90 deg corner is where the ends meet. Cut them at 45 deg to form a mitre joint. Barrie E

You are absolutely correct, B Egerton. And in fact cutting these seals neatly to 45 degrees is the tricky part measure very accurately ( use the old seal as a guide to length, allow for a bit of stretch. Then the ends to be cut; get a piece of hardboard or similar insert into the seal,The hardboard effectively acting as the edge you are applying the seal to then mitre the cut with a fine hacksaw. This will support the seal. My first attempt without support was reasonable, but with support, you should get it neater. And finish at the 90 degree corner.( one could even neatly place a little rubber glue to close the seam? Cobblers, shoe repaires glue. ) Mike
