MG MGB Technical - Front crankshaft oil seal

Having difficulty finding National Part # 1873, which is the synthetic rubber front crankshaft oil seal recommended by Stephen Strange. Called Federal-Mogul (who own National Seal) and their rep says the part is obsolete. Any suggestions?
