MG MGB Technical - Drop Link

I'm refurbing my 77BGT front suspension and replacing the original spring with a chrome bumper spring.
Do I need to change the drop link ? also re-position the track rod ends ?

Hi P, I am doing the same so good question - just started today. I have bought the 'lowering by 1 inch' kit and drop link replacement to chrome bumper is not mentioned anywhere. The test will be whether the new drop links that came with the kit will fit. To the workshop later to measure old against the new...

My problem is getting everything off. The nuts and bolts are rusted solid.

Can I cut the wishbones off (being careful with the springs of course using a jack underneath the spring pans)?
