MG MGB Technical - Crankshaft pulley
Hi Everyone, So I was getting ready to fit my EDIS system to my car. Ive had the crank shaft pulley off of the car since before this lovely winter and was going to mount the trigger wheel to it. I have managed to loose it ! I also managed to loose the trigger wheel I originally purchased for system but had sources and purchased another one. Of course Im blaming this on me having my car and parts stored at my fathers house. My question is does anyone have a crankshaft pulley for a later model B that they are looking to sell? I remember people making aluminum pulleys for their cars and also serpentine systems. Does anyone know anyone using such a serpentine "upgrade" and what the cost is? Regards, James

You might want to check with Moss, as this is what they use on their supercharger systems. RAY

Hey JRB, I have a pulley from a '72 B. It's sound although a good cleaning wouldn't hurt it. Since Principle won't allow me to give it to you, I'd let you h]/ave it for $15.00 US plus shipping. Since I'm in Canada (near Toronto) shipping might be a serious consideration. I'd probably be a good "back-up" source. JR

Hi Ross, Thats very nice of you. I should have listed that my B is a 1979 and has a different pulley than the older models. It has a keyhole. -James
