MG MGB Technical - Carbs Dellorto-40
Hello all guys!I am new here and i hope i posted this in the right place:)) I have an MGB 1963,1800 cc and i have a question about dellorto carbs and manifolds. I have 2 dellorto carbs-40.Can these be placed in a manifold which is for webber-45??

Chris- You'll find that the BMC B Series engine doesn't much like the finer atomization of the fuel that is produced by the Dellorto. You'll find a Weber DCOE to be a better performer.

Stephen: Thank you for your advice!I already have 1 32/36webber on the car and i am thinking to put those 2 40-dellortos that i have for something better. But i wanna know if these carbs can actually''suit'' with my Mg's 45 manifold.Thank you:)

Chris. Yes your DHLA will fit in place of a Weber DCOE, tho I think the 40mm is a bit on the small side. Contrary to many opinions I find the Dellorto better, having had the best success with DHLA48s. If you have the patience to set them up exaclty right.
