MG MGB Technical - Car Cover Problem

A WARNING TO ALL ABOUT COVERSHIELD CAR COVERS BEING SOLD ON EBAY

These widely advertised car covers for all MG models and other cars on ebay have a serious problem,
There is no apparent UV Suppression on the fabric, This should have been applied during the fabrication of the fibers or after weaving the fabric according to a Georgia Tech Graduate Textile engineer.
Since the rolls of fabric would be defective the problem should be with many car covers made from this roll, not just one,

I bought one of these Car Covers from Covershield on June 21 on ebay. It was installed in late July, seven days later part of the cover had turned to dust. The Textile engineer said this was due to NO UV Stabilizer on the fabric or the fibers during manufacture.

They have an obvious problem with some OR ALL of their car covers.

Attempts to reconcile the problem with Covershield Customer Service let to a go around and 20 we'll call you back (which never happened)!

An email led to to the unacceptable offer below, which amounts to buying another one (probably also defective AT THEIR WHOLESALE PRICES. The touted lifetime Warranty does not include any refund according to the customer service supervisor I spoke to Today. ( Note: after 10 calls and being cut off, disconnected, on hold forever, etc.)

EMAILS TO COVERSHIELD BELOW

Dear Ebayer,

We don't know why our cover has deteriorated so quickly as the product's lifespan should have continued for at least a few more months (all car covers deteriorate over time.)

Generally, you can send the product back for a refund minus the shipping within 60 days of payment.

However, we can have a new one sent out to you for $25 to cover the cost of shipping and handling.

We apologize for any inconvenience and are open to any further input you have about resolving any issues you have.

Thank you for your time,
Customer Support team

On installation a couple of weeks ago, after 7 days exposure to sun, the fabric began to disintegrate. Just touching the fabric causes it to powder. My son-in-law, who is a Textile Engineer, tells me that this is due to UV light. He says that the polymer was not properly treated for UV resistance as is absolutely necessary for this type of fabric.
The rapidity of failure makes this clear.

Your ad touts that you do not use the standard UV Stabilizer, so whatever you do use doesn't work!

You also advertise a lifetime warranty which I would like to evoke!

You should look into this failure if all your Car Cover offerings are based on this fabric or you will have a lot of unhappy customers!
