MG MGB Technical - Brake binding

72 gt with servo -not sure if factory fitted .
Brakes have started gently not releasing after applying .After a few seconds the brakes ease off.Does not happen every time.
I have changed brake hoses and this appeared to work, then it has come back in the hot (77*F) weather today. Next suspect the servo- how do I isolate the servo to check ? Can I block off the vacuum take off alone or cut the Brake line (not literally!)as well ?
I think thatif it is servo I can do without it -Prewar Speed 25 Alvis stop with no servo and drum brakes -it is just pedal pressure and I think I can handle a B
