MG MGB Technical - Australian Camshafts
Have any of my Aussie mates installed local camshafts, or Yella Terra roller rockers I am looking for a warmer cam for my '68 mk2. which has been upgraded to the Peter Burgess DIY spec plus 1.69 inlet valves. I am pleased with the improvements from the head work, but I am now looking for a bit more, especially at higher revs. Terry

Terry, in Victoria you have "Wade cams" and "Clive cams" both with excellent reputations. I use a Clive cams special grind in my supercharged B and am very happy with it. If you go to the Wade sight you can fill in your specs and expectations and get a recommended cam. On the other hand if you ring Clive he is very helpful. Roller rockers are very expensive for very little return in results. Remember to use the later (18V) followers and push rods and dont skimp on quality with the lifters. Denis

Terry-Dennis Yep , Clive's the way to go. He used to be at Wade's but now out on his own. For me he has always given top advice and knows cams inside out. There is a Wade cam grind no.240 that is a good all round cam in a B slightly lumpy idle but quite streetable- Talk to Clive first though and explain exactly what you're after--- He'll know best- (Clive Stanlake) Cheers Willy
