MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Weber starter
Does anyone know where I can find a pictorial view of a Weber starter on the web? My solenoid got trashed by road debris! :-( Regards, Jack

What do you mean, Jack, an exploded pic showing how it's assembled? Or just a pic? I can crawl under & shoot one if it's the latter.

Yes, Carl, an exploded view of the internal parts- but thanks for the offer! I have a loose spring from when I took the solenoid off the starter and I'm not sure whether it was from the end where the posts are or the end that engages the starter. The end where the posts are basically fell apart. By the way, this is on a 3.5L Buick engine in a 1980 MGB. I think the spring was under the plastic piece at the posts end which would be an internal part of the solenoid- just trying to verify it. The spring is .56 inch long by .38 inch dia. Regards, Jack

Problem solved. I took the starter off my 4.6L engine, and disassembled the solenoid. The spring is internal to the solenoid at the terminal post end. Regards, Jack
