MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - VVC or ZETEC for my MG BGT?
| I am having a dilemma I want to put a strong 4 cylinder screamer into my B. I dont fancy going down the V8 route as I love to rev........ Has anyone ever undertaken the VVC conversion? If so, fancy doing another one or any one able to recomend someone good who might be interested? I have recently lost my garage, and am not that enthused about attempting the transplant on the road under an umbrella....... All thoughts welcome Thanks |

| E L, thing you should contact John Hill. He has done conversions with the Rover K-series engine and a five speed Rover box since the early 80is as I have read. Seems that most parts used were stock, so only little custom made parts seem to be necessary for the conversion. The problem with the Ford Engine is to find room for the induction System and pipework in the engiene bay of a B, although the general dimensions of the ZETEC are very close to the B series engine and it is much lighter than that.
