MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Vibration in LT 77, revisited.

Earlier I asked about an LT77 gearbox with vibration while driving aswell as in neutral with the clutch engaged. No vibrations whith the clutch pedal in down position.

I have separated the gearbox from the engine and removed the cluct and flywheel after discovering extensive oil leakage from the gearbox. The clutch plate had four inches of the friction material missing from the flywheel side of the plate.
Could this have been the cause of my suspected gearbox bearing problem?

You could put money on it.

The oil leakage is pretty normal for the LT77 (and so are the fine cracks on the flywheel).
