MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Tunnel Cut-Out
Have just test fitted an old engine with my gearbox to look at tunnel modifications required, It looks as if i will have to cut out approx 2" in height to get it to fit. Does anyone have a drawing of the replacement part required to fit on the top of the tunnel after cutting out the required ammount, i can adjust the cut out to suit. Thanks In Advance Graham

Graham You don't say what year your car is. If you are trying to fit a 4 syncro into a 3 syncro tunnel you should have look at this web site - mgbmga.com Go to the technical section and scroll down to transmission. Hope this helps Kent

45mm hight 185mm wide length reference point is the 2nd stifening membrane from the front. horrizontal,45mm high, forwad 200mm, to meet the upward sloping tunnel backwards from that point 135mm, sloping down to meet the top of the tunnel. this is from rogers williams book, how to give your MGB V8 power. Suggest you buy a copy. Or, if yo fit a toyota box, which is a better gearbox (Dellow Automotive , Bellhousings)you have plenty of room and do not need to cut anything/
