MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Short Water pump

Hi

Please can someone tell me where I might find a "short" water pump to replace the one on my 3,9 EFI. I currently have a "short" MGBGT V8 one (failed) but would like to replace it with the shortest possible that would match up to the cover. Research suggests Buick Special with A/C (Year??) or a 1964 Buick 300 (is this a model?) I did read somewhere in the archives that the shortest is a Buick 215 Jeep for a v6 (year? will this fit?)

Ideally I would like to find one in the UK but am happy to order from the US. I need one that is max 3.8" from flange. A part number would also be a great step forward as I have difficulty telling one from the other

I went on the "MG Experience" web site and found someone asking exactly the same question. I now have the part number and have ordered a pump from the American Ebay web site. Am now awaiting delivery...
