MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - S10 Clutch

Hi all,
I have a buick flywheel which will be machined "flat" to take the ring around the outer edge off and lighten it somewhat.
Engine is 4.2L Rover with t-5 transmission from a Camaro (26 spline). Looking at clutches and and pressure plates, there has been a lot of talk about the S10 clutch assembly.
I see that the 1994/95 S10 with the 2.2L engine used a 9 1/8 clutch plate with 26 splines. Has any one used this combination and will it handle the load? Will it fit the flywheel without re-drilling?
BTW I plan to use a McLeod HTOB.
