MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Rust prevent for MGB Sills
What's best for B sills? I have used waxoyle (thinned) but it does not creep much once sprayed, especially with the weather in UK at present! I have heard clean/new thick engine oil is good. Any advice much appreciated Richard |

| The problem with engine oil is that it won't ever dry, so will eventually all run out the drain holes leaving no protection. I like Dinitrol 3125 which is similar to Waxoyl but more oily. It seems to creep better and will dry leaving a nice protective film. Don't forget that you need to spray inside both halves of the sill. It is divided longitudinally by the vertical membrane, so spraying on one side of the membrane only, does nothing for the other side. Mike |

| How do you spray it? What do you use & do you drill holes to introduce the Waxoyl/Dinitrol or are there holes already there you can use & get sufficient coverage? |

| I use a spray attachment with my air compressor that takes the Dinitrol canisters. It has either a spray nozzle or a flexible tube with a special end that sprays the fluid out radially. See the Wax/Schutz Gun on this page. http://www.frost.co.uk/productList.asp?catID=28&frostCat=Rust&subcatID=35&frostSubCat=Dinitrol I think you would need to drill holes to inject the fluid and plug them afterwards with rubber grommets.
