==================================================

British V8 Valve Cover Race

Curtis Jacobson completely dominated with his chromed Oldsmobile "Retro-Rocket-Mobile" (with valve cover circa ~1955), featuring sparking red front wheels. Hopefully next year there'll be a LOT more entrants...

==================================================

The Weighing of the Cars

We took "corner weights" with and without driver for 27 of the 60+ engine-conversion cars at the meet. However, no effort was made to equalize or subtract fuel or cargo load.

The lightest MGB weighed was Scott Costanzo's 1968 with 3.1L GM V6-EFI, at 2113#. The heaviest MGB weighed was Steve Ward's 1980 with Chevy LT1 engine, at 2600#.

A complete report on The British V8 2007 meet, including "all the numbers", will appear in the next issue of the online newsletter at http://www.britishv8.org ... due out in September.
