MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Need a cheap way to ship an MGA body from CA to NY
| OK, now I've done it! I've bought an MGA Coupe bodyshell near San Francisco and I need a cheap way to ship it to the East Coast. Not too picky, as long as it's somewhere near NY. Not urgent, either. I've heard talk that sometimes the large moving companies (Atlas, Allied, etc.) will put something like this in one of their less than full vans to fill it up. Has anyone out there any experience with this method of shipping? Any tips? Anyone with connections in the SF area? HELP! |

| some moving firms do this but from the checking i did the cost is very very high compared to other methods. is it rolling on wheels? if so i would try two other routes, look at BNSF railroad, they have flat bed cars and their routes run from east to west coast. or go to web site getloaded.com you can register and than post what you have. this site is used by truckers and brokers to arrange loads, your best price will be an independant that has space available. jim |
