MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - MPG from a Rover 4.0 V8
All, As some of you may know the Silver Lady did not quite make it to MG2007. First a broken gearbox and then a slave cylinder got in our way so we adjusted our agenda and still had a great time. During the trip I kept mpg figures, these with other details are below. I hope that the figures will help some of you to squeeze that little extra from each gallon. 4.0ltr Rover. V8 9.45 CR Carter Performance 500cfm. (Edelbrock #1404) Jet .086, Rods 73/60. 5 speed LT77, 3.09 MGC rear end, 15 “ wheels with 195/65 tires Crane 3000 Fireball ignition. Bosch Platinum Plus 4 spark plugs. Mileage covered 4560 29.06 Miles per gallon average Regards Mike

| That's 35 mpg for us in the UK who have bigger gallons. I'd say that was excellent. Well done. |
