MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Lund Engines - Honiton. Devon

Anybody had any experience of this company? I'm looking for a 3.9v8 for my B, and Lund are offering a good deal. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Dave, have seen their web site but have no experience of the company.
You may like to have a look at V8 developments who have a good reputation and are on your doorstep in Spalding. They have a new web site which appears to be in development but gives some basic information.

The most cost effective way to go would be to buy a 3.9 with complete hot wire injection system, Iv'e seen them go on e-bay for as little as £600.00 and use that as a basis of your rebuild. There are a couple of guys that break Range Rovers in your general area, who regularly offer engines on e-bay.
Ahood 3.9 with injection can be road tuned to a very usable 235BHP without problems, you will need obviously to upgrade your suspension and braking to enable use of the increased power.

Thanks Kevin. I have already tried V8 Developments with no success. I have phoned at least three times asking for prices and they have never called me back, so thats them out of of the picture as far as I'm concerned.
Lund will do a 220bhp 3.9 fully balanced etc for under £2k no exchange which dont seem bad to me, just wondered if anyone out there has used them?

Dave,
Just out of interest what do you get for the £2000.00
Is it just a long engine or turnkey with carb, manifold and distributor,if not reckon on adding another £8-900 to the equation, which is why I suggested finding a good complete hot wire injection 3.9 add the cost of a rebuild including cam kit a pair of Peter Burgess road heads and you have got a 230+BHP engine for probably a little under your suggested £2000.00 with the benefit of fuel injection efficiency and economy. FWIW

Kevin.
