MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Linking two carbs together
Right, I have had a few people offering me MG maestro/montego carbs for my RV8, which is great. I have been told they will bolt straight onto the SU manifold that I have, but how can I link them together? Does anyone know of a kit etc. or something I can use? I have been thinking and the easiest solution might be to fiddle the original linkages from the SUs onto the turbo carbs? Is this possible? any pics would be very useful. thanks olly

Hi You can use the standard alloy elbows off an SD1 or range rover and then make up a tee-shaped inlet pipe which joins the end of the tees and runs forward past the dizzy down to an intercooler or turbos. The V8 Owners Forum has a good board for using turbos on a rover engine... perhaps you have already seen it? I'd be interested in a pair of turbo carbs if you have any spare as well. Regards Nick

sorry I meant linking the throttle together not the intercooler bit - I've got that sorted in my head (!) And yeah, I'm already a member of the V8 forum cheers
