Graham, I tried different wires on my V8, Rover, Crane, NGK ... all silicone high flexible ones and finaly changed to clear transparent copper cored that I bought from a BOSCH garage together with the plugs for both ends. These old style of wires has outlasted all this modern stuff by far and was a lot cheaper than all other ones. They are in the car for 8 jears now and work fine still, although they do some radio interference on AM radio bands. Ralph

Second that, I bought some of the last of the remaining stock of green 7mm Cavis copper cored wire along with the appropriate ends and made my own set. Some radio noise, but they work great.

I've used nothin but copper wire on British & other m/c's forever its the best ! being on an m/c dont have to worry about radio noise . P/O had just put on a set of Accell silicone type before I bought car , 3 years in their still OK , but then its not a daily driver , however still lots of engine heat .
