MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Gear reduction starters

Does anyone know if the later model Denso gear reduction starters will fit the older Rover V8s? I'm in need of a new starter and there are a few around for the 2004-6 4.2 and 4.4. I have a 4.0 and would like to use a lighter starter this time.

The 4.4L motor is a BMW motor, NOT a rover motor.

Check with D&D Fabrications about one of their high torque starters. I have one and like it.

The nose does look a little strange. I'll see what Dan has. The TSI starter looks good too.
