MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - flame trap
Hi, does anyone know where you can buy the shortened flame trap, as fitted to the RV8 rocker cover. Cheers.

No, But if you are stuck I got a PCV valve off ebay which fitted snugly inside the cut down original SD1 flame trap. Liam

You may not need it. I swapped the covers over, left for right. Then found that I had enough clearance at the front anyway, as my motor sites about half an inch lower and further back than most. However I left them swapped because there was actually more room around the oil filler neck in the back right hand corner, than in the front left hand corner with the close proximity of the radiator hose, distributor leads, air intake filter etc. I also think the flame trap looks neater at the back with its vacuum line tucked neatly under the plenum rather than across the front of the motor. You could try clive wheatley if you really want one of these things.

Thanks Guys for your help and advice, thinking about it I could fabricate one out of an old original flame trap ie shorten it. Thanks again. Regards. Arnie.
