Do.

Read the back issues of the newsletter too...

If you Google around, you can read an interesting post that Mike put on another internet forum wherein he compared his three converted cars. The one I've seen has a 4.3, but I believe he also has a roadster with a Buick 215 and a GT with a 60 degree V6. The different engines have different personalities... and that's important to recognize up front because IMHO you should build what you really want and not necessarily the car that's easiest or cheapist to build. Build the car you want to build, to drive, and to keep long term.

All this pretty much applies, much the same engine

also Look in the archives under engine conversions. The search doesn't work too well, just browse down to C

Oh yes, DO put the engine in.

DHB,
There are a few 4.3L V6 90 degree conversions out there but hundreds of 2.8, 3.1 and 3.4L 60 degree V6 conversions out there. Much easier installation, kits available and lots of support both on this form, the mgbexperience.com forum as well as a few different vendors supporting those- including myself.

Search the archives here as well as the bbs listed above and you will find more about the 4.3 and the 3.4L Chevrolet motors.

Basically for a conversion, your question is so generic that no one can really answer. Most motors being delt with today can have about 12 different intake systems, 6 ignition systems, 3 bellhousing styles, and 30 different radiator choices, not to mention all the other bits and pieces. A person could tell you how to do it cheap and spend lots of time or how to do it to their best an you would not like the answer. You may want to state specifically what your looking to get out of the car- best 0-60, best 1/4 mile times, great autocrosser, good cruiser at 75MPH, fuel economy or what??? Every conversion is done according to the needs of the owner so more specifics are needed.

Let us know more specifically what your looking for/goals are on this forum.
