MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Engine Running Too Cold
| Further to my previous posting on another thread on this topic. I took Peter's advise & taped over the holes in the inner fenders. This seems to have solved the problem. Today I was driving in suburban traffic, the air temp. was F 73 (it's still winter) & the temp guage stayed just below the Normal mark. It was hot enough for the fans to kick in. It would appear that getting a good airflow through the engine bay or/and having an escape route for the hot air is crutial if you have overheating problems. Barrie E |

| It's likely that your thermostat is faulty Barrie. Clearly water was getting by it. Proof positive. At least they are not too expensive. Mind you it certainly shows how effective the through the guards holes actually are at improving cooling. Almost complusory in a hot climate. |
