MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Distributor Rotors
Having read that the available stock of distributor rotors can be troublesome with an allegedly off-set locator which can alter the ign. timimg by up to 14 degrees on the Rover 3,5 V8 motor. If this is indeed true where can I purchase a correct rotor? Rgds Trevor Burnett

Not heard of that, so I can't comment on which suppliers may or may not have them. However 4-cylinder rotors from the usual suspects have a decidedly iffy reputation lately, and condensers, but those from people like Distributor Doctor http://www.distributordoctor.com/red-rotor-arms.html and Simon's BBC http://www.simonbbc.com/rotor-arms are said to be much better.

As far as I know, there are only 2 types of rotors. One is for the early type dizzy & the other is for the electronic dizzy. The only difference is in the height. I think the electronic one is thinner than the points one to compensate for the different shaft length. They're certainly not interchangeable. Barrie E
