MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Delco Alternator
I am fitting a Delco alternator to my R.B V8 conversion, the alternator has two male spade connectors of the same size on the side with a stud connection at the rear. The std. MG Lucas plug has two large brown wires of the same size and one smaller brown wire with a yellow trace. Which wires go where please. Rgds Trevor Burnett PS Thanks Paul for the reply to my ign. wire problem I managed to sort out the lengths as the wires were pre-cut but as usual I was being super cautious

The two brown wires on the single plug - fit the large spades. The smaller brown and yellow wire connects the ignition indicator to the IND point on the alternator. I cant remember exactly where that is but close inspection will show a smaller spade. HTH

Both large spades are outputs, doesn't matter which way round wires are connected. The factory V8 only had one thick brown wire with this plug, plus the thinner IND connection of course.
