MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - CO level?

Can anyone please tell me the CO level that my Rover 3.5 should be?
The RR manual states 4% at idle.
I have a Weber carb and Dual Plane manifold. Would this make any difference?
The measurment to took yesterday of 14% would be high then!!
