MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Clock?
Hi Have just rebuilt the inside of the car, Have done the cut-out and cover modification for the SD1 gearbox, the trouble now is that i cannot re-fit the clock flush with the console as the back of it butts up against the repair plate. There is just enough room for the heater controls. Can i get hold of a clock which has less depth than the original one i have got fitted? The car is a rubber bumper conversion. Thanks Graham

For SDi gear box its likly you will have had to move the gearlever hole and fit some sort of cover 'plate' (piece of ply with vinyl over it) for the centre consol. Do that for the forward consol as well and recut the hole higher up. you can integrate the entire thing so it all matches.

You might not have time to look at a clock - the GTV8 doesn't have one. RW

You could also just make a dent for the clock. It'll just the bottom corner of the clock & I'm sure that there is room for a half moon shaped dent. Or cut a small hole and put duct tape over it. Just measure carefully first!
