MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Buick 215 value??
| Hello, I used to own a '73 MGB. Anyway. What is a Buick 215 worth? It comes with a Tranny also. Guy says it turns over freely and figures with tune up should run. I need to know what to expect to pay? Thanks Jason. |

| The price that you pay should reflect what you are getting with this engine. ie. is it a 2 or 4bbl intake manifold, is the carb usable, is the bellhsg suitable for a GM style manual xsmn (or is it an automatic), does it have the correct flywheel for std xsmn, is the start motor included, does it have the correct water pump configuration that allows mounting alternator on RHS, what is the compression ratio of this engine, etc. You might buy this engine for a song only to discover that to get to a "MG" spec. you have to spend considerably more money to get the "correct" bits and pieces. When I purchased my high compression Olds engine, it came with a 4 bbl manifold, aluminum nose start motor, a low rise air cleaner, the correct bellhousing and an aluminum flywheel!....I paid $400. |
