MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - BOP versus BOPR bolt pattern?
Does anyone know what engines share the 215/Rover engine bolt pattern? The 225 V6? The Buick 300? I'm trying to find an adapter for a Willys...

Unfortunately for the US builder the 215 was it's own deal. BOP are very different. you could use any of the currently avaialable bellhousings from D&D and others that convert Rover to chev and use a T5 4WD gearbox and Xfer case out of a Jeep or S10 maybe.

The Buick 215's use the "dog-ear" bellhousing pattern that is different from the 1964-up Buick/Olds/Pontiac GM corporate bellhousing. The dog-ear pattern is shared by the pre-64 Buick V6, the B/O/P 215's and the Rover V8's. Not sure about the Aussie Leyland P76. Dan Jones

The P76 pattern is the same as the Rover. Jeff, I have a Rover auto tx with the bellhousing attached.I could possibly draw around it on a large piece of paper to make a template & mail it to you. Not sure if it will work, but if you're interested ,let me know. Barrie E

Barrie, Thanks for the offer. I may take you up on it after this weekend when we actually pull the engine/tranny out of the Willys. Hopefully we can figure something out?
