MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Bellhousing spacer
| I am helping a friend do a V8 conversion in a '77 B. '80 Rover SD1 3.5L motor, factory 215 4 spd. bellhousing, GM T5 from a '83 trans am 305. I was very surprised when the motor would not turn over after the trans was bolted up. The input shaft shoulder was tight against the crank. I know the later rover cranks were longer, thus requiring the spacer D&D sells, but did not think the earlier motors needed one. Has anyone else with this confguration has this same problem?
