MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Axle flange

Anyone know if the MGC and MGB axle flanges are the same? I have a C axle and want to swap it into my V8 MGB, but need to know if I will have to change the rear flange on my driveshaft to mate up or if I can swap out the MGC flange on the axle for an MGB one.
Thanks.
Jake

The axle flanges are different. Rather than change the diff, change the flange at the drive shaft. It may (will) require a non-standard U-joint.

If there is enough available space on the larger flange, you can always have redrilled to fit the smaller one. I went this way to mate an MG diff. with a Rover driveshaft. Barrie E

Jake:

See my reply on the MGC list. The C flange is bigger, but interchanges with the MGB one.
