MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Automatic Transmission Cooler Question

I just bought a 65 Mustang radiator for my Chevy V6 conversion. As I'm going with a 700R4, I am planning on using the tranny cooler in the new radiator. Problem is the GM cooling line fittings are a lot larger then the fittings in the Ford radiator. I'm worried that the the smaller fittings may restrict the flow and damage something in the tranny or may not cool well enough. Is this something to worry about?

I bought an after market trans cooler and put where the oil cooler in a MG is usually situated. Have had no trouble that way. I am not a fan of coolers in the Rads.
If my other cars are auto trans, I will put a cooler in front of the rad. I just worry about the engine overheating the trans. I am no trans expert.

Good Luck,
Steve

Hi Terry,
The trans cooler should work okay for your setup. You are not going to load the trans that much with the B to heat it up. One thing to watch is idle speed though. High idle can cause high heat and you need all the cooling at low speeds.
