MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Anti roll bar eye bushes

Hi,
I picked up a second hand 3/4 inch front Anti roll bar in pretty good condition apart form the eye bushes which are worn out.

Are these an interchangeable item ? - can I use the eye bushes for any MGB anti roll bar or do I need bigger ones - I have nothing to compare them to.

Also - the spacers (bits that just clamp to the bar to stop it sliding about) are missing and the Moss website says these are no longer supplied. As these wrap around the roll bar I know the smaller ones will not fit.

Do you have any ideas what I can do?

Liam, the eye bushings should press out and are replaceable. I'd use urethane replacements which are available. As for the clamps, check with the local hardware store or online for two piece split shaft collars. These are available in various sizes to fit the bar used. Liam, try using the original spacers with longer screws. It won't be a snug fit & it might look a bit odd but it will serve the same purpose. Or failing that what about a couple of conduit or tubing cleats/clamps/saddles of the right diameter bolted together ? Available from an electrical or plunbing supplier. Barrie E

I found some 22mm brass towel rail brackets this morning in our B+Q - perfect fit - even have a hole for a grub bolt. I actually got my measurments wrong ! - I have a 7/8 roll bar not a 3/4 one.
