MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - A-C DELCO CS130 Alternator Wiring

In the final stages of my 77B Rover 4.6L to crate 302 conversion and want to get advise / counsel on wiring up my A-C Delco CS 130 alternator (80 AMP). Besides the battery terminal stud the unit has a 4-pronged plug and want to maintain three wire setup. As such, the large brown wire goes to the battery terminal stud, but a little unsure on the small brown (sense) and brown / yellow (charge light on dash). The 4-pronged plug is configured as follows:

P = tach / meter output (will not use)

L = Indicator lamp circuit (intuition says brown/ yellow!!)

Ig = ignition

S = voltage sense

It gets down to the Ig and s and which should I connect the small brown.....insight greatly appreciated.

BTW I used Fast Cars IFS with 302 conversion option and Steve Carrick's headers....very impressed with quality of workmanship and ease of installation. I will be posting pics shortly..........

Thanks

Steve

Steve, connect your MGB brown /yellow wire to L and run a red wire from your ignition switch to the Ig. terminalon the alternator. If your engine tries to run after you turn off the ignition switch put a diode or ignition relay in the Ig. circuit on the alternator.
