MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - 8' Ford center section
| I am having some diff problems and the simplest fix is a complete 8" Ford drop out center section with a 3.55 to 1 set of gears. Anyone have a spare for sale? |

| jim, due to lack of replys, maybe a rebuild would be in order. 2 carrier bearings, 2 pinion bearings, crush sleeve, nut? and a seal should do. pinion depth is only difficult part and that can be dealt with. Ford sites indicate a torque of 300+ lbs. to crush the sleeve. on our 8.8 R/E's and Ford Racing Gears, they are all so near same tolerance, we can swap RG & pinions and re-use the same shim pack and have a noise free dif. Blacklash is no problem once pattern is set. ck out "some mustang boards, they have good proceedures on the dif rebuild. see you in Cleveland! SAFETY FASTER |
