MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - 3800 V6

I am putting a 3800 V6 from a 96 or newer Camaro into my 79 MGB. Has anyone done this? And do you have any info on the swap?
Thanks
SS Shepherd

If your doing that swap, make sure to use an old enough PCM, harness and other items to keep away from drive by wire. You will also need to fool the PCM in quite a number of ways or completely retune the PCM so it does not give problems due to certain items such as the Cat-converter along with other items that you will not be installing with the MGB system.

If you go to the British V8 Newsletter website, you can download the September 2003 back issue for FREE, and read a How-It-Was-Done article by Don Ziegler on how he installed a 3800 V6 from a '96 Firebird in his '65 MGB. The article is illustrated with six photos.

You'll want to bookmark the British V8 website and come back frequently because it's growing FAST. So far, three or four hundred photos from last month's British V8 meet have been uploaded... Oh, and make sure to support our sponsors!

Sean,
There is a post on the MGB Experience board about this very conversion under the V8 / V6 section.
Look for the heading: 90V6: 3800 conversion.
The site is: http://www.mgexperience.net

Good luck , Pete.

Thanks, this info will make it go a lot smoother.
