MG MGA - squirrel cage blower

Hey folks, I finally got the blower motor re-assembled and it works great. When I put the blower wheel on the shaft it developed a vibration at speed. Has anyone been able to "true" a blower wheel in situ? Thanks, Tom

In the attached picture you can see a small metal clip on one of the fan blades. I am assuming that this is a balance weight. Perhaps you could start by wrapping a piece of wire around one of the fins and moving it around to see if adding some balance weight helps.

Note that this may not be an original blower. At some point my fan motor was replaced with a non-standard, at least for MGA's, Smiths motor.
