MG MGA - Sports Windscreen

The latest MGOC magazine lists a new MGOC product: a sports windscreen made of glass, plus the stanchions and side rails, but you have to source your own bottom rail. the cost is £559.95!

The original Le Mans screens were plastic as is mine. I also have the original style more raked stanchions (Bob West Stocks them). I had been looking out for a glass screen as my plastic is susceptible to scratching, usually if the wipers are used in partially wet conditions - I end up doing a lot of polishing to get the marks out.

I believe the glass may have been sourced from Anglo Parts. Does anyone have any experience with this glass screen - quality, fit etc?

It looks minute and impractical ,Steve. I had a go at getting a reasonable size sports screen ( no top surround ) last year and got an Oz supplier to agree to cut a glass down for me ( no problem he said !)and Bob West to supply the raked sides. The former tried twice and smashed two screens and stopped answering my calls and Bob West said please wait ..that was 8 months ago....given up waiting!!!
A sad experience ..I was after the compromise that would allow me to still use wipers......
Plastic ones are illegal here.
