MG MGA - spare tire clamp bolt

How is the cross pin that holds the spare time clamp pivot bolt on the boot floor held in place?

There is a split pin through the bracket on the boot floor and through the hole in the pivot shaft.

Hi George,as Neil says there is a small split pin through a slot in the bracket in the boot floor. This holds the cross pin in place . I have taken a photo and you can just see the head of the split pin and the open end at the other side of the bracket.
