MG MGA - Shutface panel value?

My roadster does not have shutface panels. Some PO just filled in around where they should be. A friend gave me a pair of OE shutface panels. They are a bit rusty on the back, but otherwise in good condition. I asked how much he wanted and he said that was for me to determine. He's a very good friend so I want to be fair. I see Moss is asking about $80.00 per for these. I checked the archives but didn't find anything about value. Any idea what a fair price would be?

Hi Gerry. I usually offer to sell good "used" parts at 50% of new value, and have been successful with that approach. Given that these are OE, maybe a bit higher would be fair.

Gerry, I was thinking NOS when I said "maybe a bit higher" than 50%, but I see they are original but not NOS parts....50% is a fair offer IMO.

I often give unwanted parts away to good friends - that's what good friends are for - (thanks are due to Steve, Gordon and Neil for their bits given to me for free)- you could try this friendship ploy! Usually a couple of pints at the local watering hole goes down well too - I owe you one Neil and Gordon when we meet - Steve and I had our drink together a couple of months ago - here's to the next time Steve !!
